Joint CASS & CAP History Retreat at Kioloa
Tuesday 17 September 2019

Over the weekend, the School of History (CASS) and the School of Culture, History & Language (CAP) hosted a joint retreat at the ANU’s coastal campus at Kioloa. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring together historians working across the two schools. Staff and HDR students took the chance to discuss topics of common interest and even challenged their creativity to visualise their projects in an art workshop. Thought-provoking presentations were delivered on the subjects of thinking boldly through history, engaging contemporary audiences and working across scales, regions and disciplines, providing much food for thought as participants returned to campus, endeavouring to continue the dialogue back in Canberra.
